DATE: May 3, 1982 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. Graham, J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson,
and C. Smith.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to
the flag. Roll call was taken. All members were present.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the agenda as written and to adjourn
to executive session to discuss personnel. Seconded by D. Lambert.
Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the minutes of April 5 and April 19,
1982 as written. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Smith,
aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; and Robinson,
aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President proclaimed Kidney Dialysis Tag Day for May 7 and May 8, 1982
for the Herschel Clark Assembly ~~116 International Order of the Rainbow
for Girls.
J. Graham made a motion to join the will County Risk Management Insurance
Program. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Smith, nay, Ansley,
aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; and Robinson, nay. 4 ayes,
2 nays. Motion declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion for the Village Attorney to prepare an Ordinance
to allow 2 temporary beer licenses for the Plainfield Jaycees and the
Plainfield Fire District for July 16 (10:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.), July
17 (10:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.) and July 18 (1:00 P.M. to 6:P.M.) subject
to dram shop insurance with the Jaycees to sell at the Electric Park
and the Fire District to sell at the Fire Barn. Seconded by D. Lambert.
Vote by roll call: Smith, aye; Ansley, nay, Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; and Robinson, nay. 4 ayes, 2 nays. Motion declared
carried.
H.. Countryman reported on his recent sewer seminar held in Springfield,
Illinois.
J. Graham made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 1033 - Chapter 11, Article
3, Section 3-29: An Ordinance making appropriations for the Village of
Plainfield for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1982. Seconded by
J. King. Vote by roll call: Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye. ~ ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
There being no bids for the police 1976 Chevy Blazer J. King announced
he will rebid at a minimum of $1,000.00.
J. King made a motion to uphold the employee handbook on vacations.
Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Smith, aye; Ansley, aye;
