Regular Meeting
DATE: April 19, 1982 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
D. Lambert, L. Robinson, and C. Smith.
J. Graham and J. King absent.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge
to the flag. Roll call was taken. J. Graham and J. King were absent.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the agenda as written. Seconded by
D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye;
and Lambert, aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley,
aye; and Lambert,aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Board granted permission to the Plainfield Junior Cats Football Club
to hold a tag day on Friday, October land Saturday, October 2, 1982.
Board granted a request fram Lewis University proclaiming April 30,
1982 "Lewis University Day".
President read a letter of resignation fram Village Clerk effective
. June 1, 1982.
L. Robinson made a motian to acknowledge receipt of the Treasurer's
report. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye;
Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and Lambert, aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to approve the amendment to agreement as
amended and executed on December 7 and 12, 1981 an State Job No.
P--91--'297-79, Federal Aid Project M-5138(27), Plaza-James Street
project with Walter E. Deuchler Assoc. Inc. with total additions
to contract of $5,539.51. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll
call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and Lambert, aye.
4 ayes, no nays. Marion declared carried.
D. Lambert made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 1031; Chapter 11,
Article 5, Sec. 5-7: An Ordinance authorizing the issuance of tax
anticipation warrantsin anticipation of the collection of Library
taxes levied for the year 1981 for General Library purposes.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Vofe by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith,
nay, Ansley, aye; Lambert, aye; and R. Selfridge, aye. 4 ayes,
1 nay. Motion declared carried.
D. Lambert made a motian to pass Ordinance No. 1032; Chapter 9,
Article 5, An ordinance amending Chapter 9, Article 5, pertaining
to driving while under the influence of alcohol, other drugs or
combination thereof. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call:
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and Lambert, aye. 4 ayes,
na nays. Motion declared carried.

D. Lambert made a motion to pass Resolution ~~816: the Soard of
Directors of the McClester-Nimmons Village of Plainfield Free
Public Library, Plainfield,. Will County, Illinois has determined
for the fiscal year commencing May 1, 1982 and ending April 30,
1983 to expend funds far the equipping, maintenance, repair and
alteration of its library building and equipment. Seconded by
G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, nay; Ansley
aye; Lambert, aye; and Selfridge, aye. 4 ayes, 1 nay. Motion
declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept the ESDA
amended. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll
Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and Lambert, aye. 4
declared carried.
