Lambert, L. Robinson and C. Smith. President Selfridge absent. Village Clerk called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. J. King made a motion to appoint Trustee G. Ansley as President pro-tem. Seconded by J. Graham. Motion carried. Roll call was taken. President R. Selfridge was absent. J. Graham made a motion to accept the agenda as written. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, aye'. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, :aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Lambert made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 1028; Chapter 9, Article 9, An Ordinance banning parking at certain places with the Village; Section 9-2-57: On the North Side of Oak St., between Desplaines St. and Illinois St. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. President pro-tem appointed J. Graham, D. Lambert and C. Smith to investigate other municipalities on their electronic game ordinances and report back their findings at the next board meeting. Board appointed Village Engineer to direct a letter to Illinois Department of Transportation in reference to the proposed widening and resurfacing of Illinois Route 59 as to the Village's authority of a decision. i~ J. King made a motion to accept the bid of hospitalization and life insurance for Village employees from Iowa State Travelers Mutual Assurance Co. (hospitalization) and Manhattan Life Insurance Co. (life insurance) at a rate of $112.27 for family and $45.66 for single coverage. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. Graham made a motion to direct the Village Treasurer to obtain a loan of $80,000.00 for no more than 8 yrs., rate no .more than l0%, prepaid without penalty with annual payments and semi-annual interest payments for the water and sewer James Street and Plaza Drive extension contracted to T & R Construction Company. Seconded by G. Smith. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Lambert made a motion to authorize 1 dispatcher to attend the Dispatcher Training Program in Bensenville March 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 at a cost of $120.00. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; and Lambert, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. Mr. George Austin came before the Board requesting an explanation of the Village Engineer's punch list to be completed in Pheasant Chase Subdivision. PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES -2- January 1$, 19$2 The Board agreed for Mr. Austin and the Village Engineer to review the punch list and make the necessary improvements and report back to the Board of their findings.
