Regular Meeting
DATE: November 16, 1981 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. Graham, J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson,
and C. Smith.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to
the flag. Roll call was taken. Lorin Robinson was tardy.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the agenda as written. Seconded by
D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. fi ayes, no nays.. Motion
declared carried.
Board granted permission to Mr. Bernie Stonich, 1982 "Race of Dimes"
Chairman for the annual "Race of Dimes Day" to be held on Saturday,
January 30, 1982 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept receipt of the Treasurer's report.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye;
• King, aye; Larrtbert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to purchase 3 hand held radar units at a cost of
$534.25 each (total $1,602.75). Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, nay;
and Smith, aye. fi ayes, one nay. Motion declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to sell the old salt box to the Plainfield School
District at a cost of $300.00. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; F:ing, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and
Smith, aye. fi ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At 8:16 P.M. meeting adjourned to executive session.
At 8:55 reconvened meeting.
D. Lambert made a motion to rescind the Gary Lichtenwalter lease and
enter into a lease with Edward Prebe as leesee effective November 16,
1981 for the old Village Hall. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye;
and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Village Engineer, Ajit Singh gave a report on the Community Development
Block Grants in Will County.
. Mr. Jahn Repsholdt from the Columbian Securities, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois
gave a presentation on a $2,200,000.00 financial study and recommendations of
proposed water and sewer extension.

Regular Meeting
Board directed the Village Engineer to contact IDOT to request a Public
Hearing on the proposed Route 59 widening.
Board instructed the Village Clerk to contact Mr. Larry Foster of the
Management Improvement Corporation of America for a study session.
On motion meeting adjourned 9:2$ p.m.
