Robbins, 'Mayor of said City, having duly qualified as such officers, met for organization at the office of said Board L:onday January 5th, 19146 at 12;20 P. no Mo ssrs, Alfred Bavis, Charles Be L'arlatt and John McMinn composing said Board. All the members being present. The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - On motion of !Ire Llarlatt, L;r. Bevis was elected President of of said Board for one year. The Board proceeded to make the following appointments to the several city offices as named, as follows. to -wit: - For Sup't., Mun: Eled. L. L, P P, -' Clarence Kleinknecht. For Street Commissioner - - Geo. J. inollenberg. For Chief of Fire Department - E. Be Miller. For Assistant fire Chief - - Frank Carter,. For Sup't., of Public Parks - Charles H. Ford. For Assiata.nt City Civil Engir_eer - Everett L. Davis. For Inspector of i7eights & Measures- Geo. A. McKinley For Building Inspector - - Harry Hodgin, For Custodian City Building - ;Ym. C. Furman. On motion the above named appointments were ratified and approved, and the appointment of Harry Hodgin, for Building Inspector ordered presented to the Common Council of the City of 1ichmond, Indiana, for their approval. The Board decide to hold regular meetings on Ltonday E Thurs- day of each week at 9 O'clock A. Le Mayor Robbins, suggested to the Board that in his opinion each department chief should be vested with them authority ofemployingand dischayrging all of his Board but it was on motiontdocided favorablythat reanyvacted ion mn the matter was taken each department chief should be consulted.
