J. Graham made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 5 and October 19
meetings as written. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham,
aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley, J. Graham,
J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson and C. Smith.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Roll
call was taken. All members of the board were present.
President read a confirmation from the Plainfield School Board of the approval of
awarding the water main bids to T & R Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $19,23$.40
and additionally to include the casing pipe across the North-South access road at the
point directly in line with the fire hydrant to be placed in 'the vicinity of the South
entrance to the Plainfield High School in the amount of $2,700.00 with the intention
of the Board of Education to pay far this project as certificates of payments and
appropriate waivers of lien are submitted by the Village of Plainfield's architect/
engineer.
President Selfridge proclaimed Monday, November 9, 1981 as the "Air. Force Band of
Mid-America Day" in the Village of Plainfield.
Village Clerk gave a presentation on the 1981 Illinois Municipal Clerks Institute
and Academy held in Champaign, Illinois that she attended. on October 26 -- 30, 1981.

Permission was granted to the Plainfield Fire District to hold a turkey raffle
on Saturday, November 14, 1981.

Mr. Greg Schaller, a concerned citizen, spoke on behalf of the citizens achieving
more wages for the police officers.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were opened for the Village employee hospitalization
plan:

L. Robinson made a motion to award the Commercial St. storm sewer and James St.
watermain extension to T & R Construction Co., 1135 S. Lake St., Aurora, Illinois
of $138,515.60.. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham,
aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize the Village Engineer to evaluate and prioritize
to up date our water and sewer system on a 5 year plan at a cost of approximately $500.00
to $700.00. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King,
aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
C. Smith made a motion to purchase a high pressure washer for all Village equipment at
a.cost of $1,240.00. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham,
aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to purchase a V box truck mounted spreader at a cost of $2,155.00
for the Village 1 ton GMC. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.

C. Smith made a motion to authorize the Village Engineer for easement description,
plat preparation, order title commitment letters, contact appraiser and reviewer
and negotiator for properties involved on the FAU project (Plaza Drive & James 5t.).
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
