PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
DATE: October 19, 1981
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees J. Graham,
J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson & C. Smith. G.
Ansley was absent.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the
flag. Roll call was taken. G. Ansley was absent.
J. King made a motion to approve the agenda as written and adjourn to
executive session to discuss personnel. Seconded by C. Smith. Motion
carried.
J. King made a motion to approve current invoices far payment. Seconded
by L. Robinson.' Vote by roll call: Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Permission was given to the St. Mary's youth group to bald a bingo game
at their spaghetti dinner to be on Saturday, November 14th. and to waive
the necessary licensing.
J. Graham made a motion to accept receipt of the financial statement
from Filbey, Summers, et al and the Treasurer's report. Seconded by
J. King. Vote by tall call: Smith, aye; Graham, aye, King, aye;
Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion tv submit the resolution for maintenance of streets
and highways by municipality under the Illinois Highway Code requesting
$15,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for snow removal for January 1, 1982
to December 31, 1982. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call:
Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye.
5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were opened for the Commercial St. storm
sewer and James St. watermain extension:

Regular Meeting
October 19, 1981
L. Robinson made a motion to continue the awarding of the bids till the
next meeting to allow the Village Engineer to review the bids. Seconded
by J. King. Vote by roll call: Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
At 8:30 p.m. the following bids were opened for the gas & oil, servicing
and maintaining village vehicles:

J. King made a motion to accept receipt of the bids. Seconded by L.

Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to review the bids and award the bid at the next
scheduled board meeting. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call:
Smith, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; and Robinson, aye.
Motion declared carried.
President appointed trustees G. Ansley, C. Smith, and J. Graham to meet
with Mr. Greg Shaller, a concerned citizen, in response to the police
officers wages.
At 8:40 p.m. meeting adjourned to executive session.
