Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley, J. Graham, J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson and C. Smith. President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. J. Graham made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye; 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. b ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. President announced due to Monday, September 7, 1981 being a legal holiday the first meeting of September will be August 31, 1981. President announced the Village Clerk's office will be closed September 4 and 5 due to painting. Fermission was granted to Fox Valley Home Health, Inc. to proclaim the week of September 1320 as Home Health Week. Permission was granted to Ms. Donna Priest, Tag Day Coordinator, Plainfield Junior Cats to hall a tag day on Friday, September 18 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 19 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Permission was granted to Ms. Marilyn Fuller, Director of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation, Joliet division for a door-to-door fund raising drive during the week of September 13-19, 1981. C. Smith made a motion to accept receipt of the Treasurer's report. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion for the Village Engineer to review the Drainage Report for Illinois Route 126, I-55 to Illinois Route 59, Will County. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to prepare a resolution for the James Street watermain and sewer extension with the Plainfield School District setting easements. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to accept the .resignation of full time police officer Timothy R. Hareld effective September 1, 1981. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; king, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. -2- • PLATNFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES August 17, 1981 J. King made a motion to reinstate Greg Chapman as a full time police officer effective August 29, 1981. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Lambert made a motion for Jean Dunlap to attend the Illinois Law Enforcement Tele- communicator School at Springfield September l4 to September 28, l9$l at a cast of $100.00. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by tall call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Lambert made a motion to hire Kathleen Wheeler as a full time dispatcher effective August 31, 1981. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. At $:00 p.m. the following bid was opened far the underground storage tank: Secure State of Illinois permit only, furnish and install one 6 M gallon STl-T'-3 tank (20 yr. warranty), haul away excavated debris, backfill with clean sand and compact, pour an 8" thick wire reinforced concrete pad at finished grade 12' x 20', piping--one li" suction line from tank to island location, one 2" vent line to island and terminate 12' above finished grade, one /+" fill assembly with vapor recovery drop tube and adaptor, locking cap and one 11" manhole frame and cover, poux' a 4' x 4' x 8' thick concrete pump island with two 6" concrete filled pipe bumpers for protection of pump, furnish and install one Bennett Fleetmaster Commercial pump model ~t3788 with automatic shut off safety nozzle, furnish and install one 25 key, key-gard security system, and hook up pump and key system, electrically with on and off control switch in dispatchers office. This work for the sum of $15,96$.00. Aetna Tank & Pump,lnc.,Hillside, Illinois 60162. G. Ansley made a motion to accept receipt of the bid. Seconded by J. King. King to evaluate the bid and prepare findings at the August 3l, 1981 meeting. Mr. Joseph Hilburger from Whispering Creek Subdivision spoke on behalf of the ~'.
