PLAINFTELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Regular Meeting
DATE: June 15, 1981
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley, J.
Graham, J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson,
and C. Smith.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to
the flag. Roll call wxas taken. All members of the Board were present.
J. King made a motion. to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith,
aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to contribute $15.00 to the City of Joliet for
their 35th. annual. 1981 Joliet July 4 Celebration. Seconded by L.
Robinson. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye;
Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept receipt of the Treasurer's report.
Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye;
Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye.; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
Fresielent signed a letter directed to Beling Consultants, Inc. in
regards to no objection to the proposed new convent facility, Sister
Servants of Mary.
Mr. McCormick of 5 Pratt TLane requested the Village Board investigate
the dust from the, back of the Plaza Shopping Center, President directed
the Village Clerk to write a letter to Mrs. Jane Van Horn, owner of the
property.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 1020; An Ordinance
establishing a user charge rate for Water works and sewerage system.
Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye;
Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 1.021; Chapter 6, Article
3, Ordinance amending Chapter 6, Article 3, Section 3-1-3; Unpaid fees
or liens. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye;
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye, 6 ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion for the Village Clerk to attend the Workshop
on Clean Water Construction Grants Administr~.tion to be held on June
29 and June 30 in Chicago at a cost of $385.00. Seconded by D. Lambert.
. Vote by roll call: Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye;
Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

L. Robinson made a motion -~o hire the 3 Ceta Dispatchers - Dwayne Wilkerson,
Susan Bukowiecki and Julia ,Blum effective ~Tu1y 1, 198.1 due to the Ceta
grant being terminated. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Lambert,
aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye.
6 ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
