Ansley, J. Graham, J. King, D. Lambert, L. Robinson,. and C. Smith President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded,'. by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes,, no nays. Motion declared carried. President announced that the Village Planner, Ann Hintze, has received a one year Fellowship in Intergovernmental Relations from the North- eastern Illinois Planning Commission funded through the Chicago Community Trust effective July 1, 1981. J. Graham made a motion to adopt an Ordinance granting sign variance to Plainfield Food Mart, 106 Division St. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to accept receipt of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. Graham made a motion that the variance be granted far Case #113-51281V, sideyard variance, Dr. Steven Fisher, animal hospital on Illinois Route 59. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to pass Resolution #811; the McClester-Nimmons Village of Plainfield Free Public Library, Plainfield, Will County, Illinois has determined for the fiscal year commencing May 1, 1981 and ending April 3D, 1982 to expend funds far the equipping, maintenance, repair and alteration of its Library building and equipment in the amount of $10,600.00. Seconded by D. Lambert. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to adopt Ordinance #1015; Chapter ll, Article 5, Sec. 5-7: An Ordinance authorizing the issuance of tax anticipation warrants in anticipation of the collection of library taxes levied for the fiscal year 1980 for general library purposes in the amount of $48,750.00. Seconded by J. King.' Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. -2- PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES May 18, 1981 J. Graham made a motion to adopt Ordinance #1016; Chapter 2, Article 2, An Ordinance amending Section 2-1 of Ordinance #698; the annual salary of the Local Liquor Control Commissioner of the Village of Plainfield is hereby fixed in the sum of $1,000.00 payable annually on the first Monday of May in each year. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye.. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.. At 8:00 p.m. the President called the Federal Revenue Sharing Hearing to order. The following requests were presented: Handicapped Elderly Personal Transit - $3,000.00 Family Counseling ,Agency - $725.00 Plainfield P~:iblic Library - $4, 000.00 Senior Services Center - $1,500.00 Plainfield Historical Society - no specific amount requested President appointed the following to serve on the Federal Revenue Sharing Budget: J. Graham, C. Smith, and G. Ansley. Requested their findings be presented at the next scheduled Board meeting. H. Countryman made a presentation of the recent convention held in Springfield. • L. Robinson made a motion for Budd's Spray Painting, Shorewood, Illinois to paint the storage building on Mills Street at a cost of $550.00. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call. Graham, aye.; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. At 8:30 p.m. the following bids were opened far sidewalk replacement: Bada Construction Co. 4' x 5' section, 4" thick, 5~ bag mix $60.00 per section Baish Construction Co. 4' x 5' section, 4" thick, 5~ bag mis $55.00 per section G. Ansley made a motion to accept receipt of the bids. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. C. Smith made a motion to award the bid to Baish Construction Co. Seconded by J. King. Robinson presented a certificate of completion to John Watson, Director of E.S.D.A. from the State of Illinois E.S.D.A.
