Regular Meeting
DATE: December 1, 1980 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. Graham, J. King, L. Robinson, and
C. Smith. J. D'Arcy, absent.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to
the flag. Roll call as taken. J. D'Arcy was absent.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the minutes of November 3 and
November 17 as corrected. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call:
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye.
5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept receipt of Plan Commission Report,
Case No. 106-1111802, Richard Klett property. Seconded by L. Robinson.
Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith,, aye;
and Ansley, aye. 5 dyes, no nays: Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept receipt of Plan Commission Report,
Case No. 107-11118022, Earl Horton property. Seconded by C. Smith.
Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye;
and Ansley, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept receipt of the Zoning Board of
Appeals report, Case No. 105-111180V, Go-Tape petition for variation.
Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to table Case No. 105-1111802, Richard Klett
property, till next meeting. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call:
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye.
5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to adopt an Ordinance to place the property
at 223 Main Street (Earl Horton) into the B-2 zone. Seconded by G.
Ansley. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye;
Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
C. Smith made a motion to adapt an Ordinance to allow the proposed
variation to erect 3 canopy signs at 305 Joliet Rd. (Go-Taney Case No.
105-111180V with the. restriction that all previous agreed signs be
removed. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King,
aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 5 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion for the Chief of Police to attend the seminar
on Civil and Administrative Law, December 11 and December 12 at
Palatine at a cost of $85.00. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll
call: Graham, aye;-King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley,
aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion for the Village Engineer to prepare a
Resolution requesting $12,000.00 MFT funds for snow removal. Seconded
by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye;
