Regular Meeting
DATE: November 17, 1980
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. D'Arcy, J. Graham, J. King, L. Robinson,
and C. Smith
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to
the flag. Roll call was taken. A11 members of the Board were present.
J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
J. King was appointed by the Board to serve an the North Campus
Development Committee of the Joliet Junior College.
Permission was granted for the Salvation Army to conduct its annual
Doughnut Tag Day on Fra~.day, June 5, 1981.
Permission was granted for the March of Dimes annual "Race of Dimes"
to be held on Saturday, January 31, 1981 between the hours of 8:30 a,m.
to 1:30 p.m.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Seconded by
J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy,~pass; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Robinson '; and .Smith, aye. 5 ayes,-ire-nays, 1 pass.
Motion declared carried.
The Board recommended the Village Planner write Letters to the E.J.&E.
Railroad and ICC recommending deferment for the Center Street railroad
crossing signalization.
L, Robinson made a motion to purchase a 96" bucket for the snowplow.
Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion that 2 street lights be erected on Penn Rd.
at a cost of not more than $19,50 per month. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
J. Graham made a motion to enter into a agreement with Wheatland Twp.
for an ambulance service agreement for 2 years at $1,000.00 per year.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned to executive session 8:12 p.m.
