D'Arcy, J. Graham, J. King, L. Robinson, and C. Smith. G. Ansley, absent. President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. G. Ansley was absent. J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Resolution ~~804 - A Resolution encouraging the Wi11 County Board to proceed with a County-wide transit study by accepting an urban mass transportation administration giant from the Regional Transportation Authority. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~9$2 -- annexing 1 parcel on Illinois 126 West of VanDyke Road. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~983 - Chapter 8, Ax'.ticle 8, Variation to Zoning Ordinance No. 674', granted by action of the Village of Plainfield Board of Trustees, Sec. 8-6: Variation of maximum sign size requirements for 306 Joliet Rd. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~984 - Chapter 1, Article 4, An Ordinance authorizing lease of 1977 Chevrolet Caprice for Police Department. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll ca11: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. C. Smith made a motion that a certified letter be directed to the First Southern Baptist Church stating that a culvert must be installed now or at a later date at their expense at our request if storm water problems should arise as a result of there not being a culvert. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson., aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. The sludge drying bed bids were tabled till bait meeting. On motion meeting adjourned to Monday evening, July 28, 1980 at 7:00 p.m. to make decision of the sludge drying bed bids.
