MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: G. Ansley, J. D'Arcy, J. Graham, J. King,
L. Robinson and C. Smith. President R.
Selfridge was absent.
In the absence of the President; Shirley Yates, Village Clerk called
the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to appoint Trustee G. Ansley as President pra-
tem. Seconded by C. Smith. Motion declared carried.
Roll call was taken. President R. Selfridge was absent.
C. Smith made a motion to approve the minutes of June 2, June 16,
and June 24, 1980. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith,
aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 803 - Illinois Sell
Telephone Company day October 1, 1980. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote
by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 804 - authorizing
the execution and delive of a memorandum of agreement between the
Village of Plainfield anc~ Plainfield Tool and Engineering, Inc.,
an Illinois corporation, providing far the issuance by said Village
of revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000.00 pursuant
to the provisions of the Act. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson,
` aye and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were read for construction of 2
sludge drying beds:

J. King made a motion to accept the receipt of the bids. Seconded
by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham,
aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.
Mohan declared carried.
J. Graham made a motion to accept recommendation of the Plan Commission
that the preliminary plat of Country Manors First Addition be amended
as per the revised preliminary plat dated June 2, 1980. Seconded by
L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, abstained;
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5 ayes, na
nays, l abstain. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to accept recommendation of the Plan Commission
that the final plat of fats 1 and 2 in Country Manors First Addition
be approved. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D'Arcy, abstained; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith,
aye. 5 ayes, no nays, 1 abstain. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept the preliminary plat of Eada
Commercial Park with the following street requirements - 6" of
bam with 3" bituminous concrete an tap or 14" crushed stone with
3" bituminous concrete on top; both having a structure. equivalent
of Dt=3 and at the time of building permit application the Village
Engineer will review and approve the individual site plans.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; Graham, nay; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 5
ayes, 1 nay. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to adopt an Ordinance for the Go Tane Sign
Variation. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
J. D'Arcy withdrew his second.
J. King withdrew his motion.
L. Robinson made a motion to purchase a Hahn Eclipse lawnmower
for the Water and Sewer Department. Seconded by J. King. Vote
by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Madan declared
carried.
J. King made a motion to enter into an agreement
to lease his 1977 Chevrolet fully equipped vehic
for $1.00 per year. Village will be responsible
maintenance, insurance and license. Seconded by

Robinson, aye;. and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays.

Reconvened 10:50 p.m.
J. King made a motion to reimburse Melvin Lantz $190.03 for
vandalism done on his trailer at the site of the Village's
new dog run. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; and
Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Mohan declared carried.
J. King made a motion for the fallowing wage adjustments
effective July 1, 1980:

Rebecca Meridieth - $3.40 per hr.
Karen Jenneman - $3.40 per hr.
