The Board of Public Works of the City of' Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of the said Boa rd, Thursday,
May 1, 1919 , at 8:30 A.M. All the members of the said Board
being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz, the following
proceedings were had to-wit : -
Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
The Board granted Dorsey Martin permission to garden ground at
the corner of 19th and South E,north of E approximately 150' ft. I/
for the season of 1919 , with the understanding that the City
will' not be- liable for any- damages in case this street is open-
ed up.
The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Chas. H. Tate to dis-
continue the practice of obstructing the alley with ashes at
their cleaning plant.
Mr. Iioward A. Dill, Supt . of the Richmond City Water Works Co. ,
informed the Board that' the company intends to lay a lO"inch
water main on South 9th St. from J to L St . , and asked if the
City desired to place a hydrant on this line before the concrete
is laid. The Board decided to look into the matter .
The Board then adjourned.
