The Board unanimously :adopted Improvement Resolution No. 564- 1919 for the .improvement of North "A" prt. from North 7th St . to North 16th St. by constructing a cement sidewalk on both sides of said street 72 ft. wide except on such• portion of said • street where cement sidewalk is already laid and in good con- dition. Monday , April 28 , 1919. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met. in regular session at the office of the said Board, Monday April 28, 1919, at 8:30 A.M. All the mem.bers . of the said being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz , the following• pro- . ceedings were had- to-wit :— Minutes of the previous meeting read' and,were approved. The Board granted Mrs. Ed. Muey permission to' tap sewer between , • South 3rd & 4th Sts. on C St. at the alley and that the sum of Ten ( 10.00 ) Dollars be collected for said privilege. The .Board on motion granted the petition of the Starr Piano Co. for the installing of one new fire hydrant and the changing of the' location of the hydrant . from under the Main St. Bridge to a more suitable location for the protection- of their plant ; under the supervision 'of the Fire Chief. • Repairs on the City Bldg. recommended by Mr. Miller were order- ed to be made. Dear Sir: - I beg to advise you that at- the last session of the National I/ War Labor Board the following order was made in Docket 652 - City Firemen Vs City of Richmond, Indiana ,- "As it appears that no proper complaint has ever been placed upon file by the complainants in this case and that no steps have been taken towards prosecuting the case for a long time, it is - therefore hereby directed that said case be dismissed without pre- judice for want of prosecution." The Board on Motion decided that applicants for electric service should put up a cash deposit sufficient to take care of the aver- rage monthly bill , or be guaranteed by some freeholder, and it be left to the Supt. of the Light Plant to enforce this ruling.
