(Special Session. ) The Board ,of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in Special Session in the office of the said Board , Monday, April 21, 1919, at 4:00 P.M. Two of the members of said Board being present Messts. Taylor, and Peltz, absent Mr. Johnson, the following pro- . ceedings were had to-wit :- The Beard approved asd sighed the Contract and Bond of F. E. Slick, . Contractor, for the collection and removal of ashes and sweepings in the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Board of Public Yorks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of the. said: Board, Thursday, April 24 1919 , at 8 :30 A.M. . Two members of the. said Board being present Messrs. Taylor and Peltz , absent Mr._ Johnson, the following proceed- ings were had to-wit:- Minutes of the previousmeeting read and were approved. The Clerk presented to the Board the various complaints from the Common Council of Monday, April 21, 1919, these matters were referr- ed to the City Engineer, and St. Commissioner for. immediate action. The Board approved and signed the contract for the lease of lots 5 and 6 in the P. & F. Add. _at the corner of 17th and Main Streets, from Elizabeth Jones, agent , for market purposes from June 1st , 1919 to June 1st, 1920, for the. sum of Fifty ( $50.00) Dollars. _ The Board received a petition for the improvement of both sides of North "A" St. from North 7th to North 16th St. providing for a ce- ment sidewalk 7* ft wide onboth sides of said street' except where _ cement walks are already laid in good condition between the points named above, signed by Waldo Lacey and six ( 6) others. 304 Thursday , April 24, 1919. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 564- 1919 for the .improvement ' of North "A" prt. from North 7th St. to North 16th St. by constructing a cement sidewalk on both sides of said street 72 ft. vide except on such portion of said street where cement sidewalk is already laid and in good con- dition. The Board on motion instructed the-Clerk to notify the City Atty. to draw up an ordinance to amend the ordinance regulating markets so as to auctioner the sale of stalls, also to amend1/ the weed ordinance so that the expenses can be legally collected from the property owners. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met- in regular session at the office of the said Board, Monday April 28 , 1919 , at 8:30 A.M. All the members of the said being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz , the following. pro- ceedings were had- to-wit :- Minutes of the previous meeting read• and were approved., The Board granted Mrs. Ed. Muey permission to tap sewer between South 3rd & 4th Sts. on C St. at the alley and that the sum of Ten ( 10.00 ) Dollars be collected for said privilege. The Board on motion granted the petition of the Starr Piano Co. for the installing of one new fire hydrant and the changing of the location of the hydrant from under the Main St. Bridge to a more suitable location for the protection- of their plant , under the supervision of the Fire Chief.
