City of Richmond , Indiana,
Thursday, April 17 , 1919.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of the said Board, . Thursday,
April 17, 1919 , at 8 :30 A.M. Two members of the said Board be-
ing present Messrs. Taylor, and Pe lta, absent Mr. Johnson, the
following proceedings were had to-wit: -
Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
The Board approved and signed the petition of Mr. Henry Gennett

• granting him permission to cut the curb under private contract
and make a driveway in sidewalk infront of Lot #4 John Smith's
Add. on the west sideof South 19th St. all work to be done at
the petitioner's expense and in accordance with the standard
specifications for such work subject to the inspection of and
approval of the City Engineer.
The Board approved and signed Contract and Bond of Daniel G.
Burkhardt , Contractor, under imporvement Resolution No. 561 -
1919.
The Board approved and signed contract & Bond of C. M. Kirkpat-
rick, Contractor, under improvement Resolution No. 558 - 1919.
The Board received a Resolution in the matter of the petition of
Charles H. Sell et al for the improvement of a highway commene-
ing at the intersection of the Commons Road with West 5th St.
in the City of Richmond, Indiana, thence west along the Commons
Road to Easthaven Avenue , thence north along Easthaven Avenue
to the tracks of the P.C.C. & St . L. R.R. Co. , all in Wayne Co.
Indiana, under the provisions of the County Unit Road Law from
the Board of Commissioners of Wayne County for permission to
improve that part of said highway petitioned for within the cor-
porate limits of said City of Richmond , Indiana. The Board of
Works referred this matter to the City Atty. and City Engineer.
The Board then adjourned.
