The Board of Publ is Works of the City of Richmond. , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board , . Thursday February
27th , 1919 at 8 30 A.M. The following members of said' Board' being
present Messrs , Johnson & Reitz , Absent Mr. Taylor,, Two members
being present , the following proceedings were had , to-wit : -
Minutes' of last meeting read and approved as corrected.
The Clerk presented the report of appraisers appointed .by. the Judge
of the Wayne Circuit Court , fixing the value of City lots belong-
ing to the City of Richmond , as follows : - Lot 4, $25 .00 Lot 5,
4.25 .00 Lot 6, 425 .00 Lot 7-425 i.000 BcZot u41,gSO. .00cka1Zl in the
Hanover Additio@, Total appraised value 210.00.
A letter was received from Richmond City Water Works , advising
the City that Fire Hydrant had been installed in Center Street
between 2nd & 5th Sts , as of date of Feb . 25 , 1919.
The Building Inspedtor was directed to have roof placed on tool
house at gravel pit of the City' s.
The matter of bad condition of sidewalks on Richmond Ave , was re-
ferred to City Engineer,owith instructions that the City repair,
their portions of same were needed.
The Board received bids for Tarvia "B" or its equal as f.ollTaws :
Indian Refining Co. , bid :
20 ,000 gal . - 85-90% Asphaltic Contents Road oil, 8 .07ga1 .P.0.B.
Richmond , Indi ana.

20 ,000 gal M. or L. Tarvia B.F. O.B.iiichhond , Ind , , terms.
30 days net , 2% for cash in 10 days .
The Board decide the Tarvia B. to 'be the best for the 'City' s
use, on motion award the contract to The .Barrett, Co. ,
On motion of Mr. Peitz , the Board decide that the City till
treat good streets with Tarvia , to the extent of 1/3 of width
in center of street , the property owners to pay for oiling the
balance of street , also that whenever the city in the future
re-make any street the city treat the same with Tarvia dressing
. at whole expense of city.
The City Engineer was directed to prepare a petition for cement
walk, c .& g.both sides of N. "B" St , from 7 to 'alley east of 9 St ,
where not already constructed.
The City Atty, was directed to collect the bill for flushing
sewer of Dr.G.Ferling .
The Board then adjourned,
