City of Richmond , Indiana
Thursday , February 13, 1919.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of the said Board, Thursday,
February 13, 1919, at 8 :30 A.M. All members of the said Board
being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and •Pe1tz, the following
proceedings were had to-wit : - _
Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
A petition was presented for the . improvement of North A St. from
'North 5th to North 16th providing for a cement walk 72 ft. wide
' on both sides of said street except where cement walks are al-
ready laid in good condition. Referred to the City Engineer for
plans.
The Board instructed the Building Inspector to look after the
cause of the water dripping on the sidewalk from the roof of the
Evans Bldg. cor. 10th & Main Streets. `
The Board referred the matter of the correspondence of the Starr
Piano Company in regard to Deed for lots in the Hanover Addition
in the City of Richmond, Indiana, to Mr. Peitz to take up with
the City Atty.
The Board instructed the City Engineer to have the street flush-
er put in good condition.
The Board instructed the City Engineer and City Clerk to take the
necessary steps and advertise for 20 thousand gallons of tarvia
more or less.
Mr. Dillon, Supt. of the Light Plant'', asked permission of the
Board to place the men at the light plant on an 8 hour basis at L.
the same rate per hour as they are receiving now. This matter
was left entirely up to the Supt.
The City Clerk informed the Mayor, and Board of Works that he
would 'be absent for a few weeks , and that I , Wm. Stevens, City
Clerk do .now deputize Constance Bell deputy city clerk, and I
now administer the oath of office to her in your presence. The
Board on motion approved the above action.
The Board did then adjourn.
