Mr. Johnson moved that the City Engineer instruct the Street Commissioner to make the necessary test holes for storm water sewer on Randolph Street. Sec . by Peitz , so ordered. The Beard of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session at the office of the said Board, Thursday January 30th. 1919 at 8 : 30 A. M. All the members of said Board being present/ Messrs. Johnson, Taylor and Peitz . The following proceedings were had to-wit : The minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. The Board approved the contract and bond of Forrest Miller and Lorine Miller, doing business under the firm name of Miller Bros. Garage at #35 & 37 So. 6th. Street. To install gasoline, oil and air dispenser. The Clerk read a letter from H. E. Barnard , State Commissioner of Weights & Measures to Wm. A. Hunt , Sealer of Weights and Measures of Richmond, Indiana. Regarding the 8th. annual con- ference of the Indiana Sealers Association to be held February 18-19-20th. 1919 at Claypool Hotel, Indianapolis , Indiana . Requesting that Mr. Hunt be present at this conference. Mr. Johnson moved that Mr. Hunt , Sealer of Weights & Measures attent said conference. Sec . by Taylor, so ordered. The Board instructed the Clerk to have -the Police Department notify owner of pile of brick on north side of main street between 11th. & 12th. Streets. To have same removed. 272 Thursday, January 30th. 1919 . Mr. Davis, City Engineer, submitted planes for Boulevard on west side of river bank. The Board instructed the Clerk to write letters to the follow- ing citizens : Howard Dill , Carl Ullman, J. H. Johnson, Ed . N. Wilson, E. A. Campfield, Wm. Reller, Adam Bartel, Henry Gold- finger, Elmer Eggemeyer, Oscar Dickenson, William Ertel Jr. , I/ Henry Bode, Howard Hortan, Ray Robinson, Geo. Shoffer, Atwood. Jenkins , and Willard Carr, reguesting that they meet with the Board of. Public Works , Monday, February 3d. 1919 at,, 9 :00 A.M. to talk over the matter of the proposed boulevard. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of the said Board, Mon- day, February 3rd. 1919 , at 8 :30 A.M. All members of the said Board being present Messrs. John-son,- Taylor, and Peltz , the • following proceedings were had to-wit:- Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved. The Board approved and signed the petition of Joe Stevenson granting him perm3.sson to cut a 16 ft. driveway in the curb in front of property #27 B. & L. Add. , South 10th. Street , all work to be done at the petitioner' s expense and in ,accordance with the standard specifications for such work, subject to the inspection of the City Engineer. Mr. Davis, City Engineer, reporter to the Board that B. A. Kennepohl had offered a lot on Liberty Avenue to the City for dumping purposes , also reporter that Swayne, Robinson Co. in filling up their ground in the Varley Add. are covering up a manhole that should be raised. The Board instructed, the Eng. to raise said manhole. Mr. Dillon, Supt. of the Light Plait, reported to the Board that the P.C.C. & St. L. R.R. had accepted the City' s propo- sition for light & power. A petition was presented for the improvement of S. 9th St. of the City of from South .E St. to the south corporation-line
