Thursday, January 23d. , 1919.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,met
in regular session at the office of the said Board, Thursday
January 23d . 1919, at 8: 30 A. M. All members of the said Board
being present . Messrs. Johnson, Taylor , and Beltz. The following •
proceeding were had to-wit ; =
Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
The Board received the report of appraisement made by appraisors
appointed to appraise in the matter of Motor Generator belong-
ing to the Municipal :Electric Lighting and Power Plant.
Mr. Peitz "reported to the Board that D. B. Iavis, City Engineer,
and he went to Indianapolis, Indiana, Wednesday, ' January 22nd.
1919 and investigated coal handling devices at the Citizens
Light & Gas . ComPany and the Ensley Manufacturing Company. He
reported that they also called on the Board of Saftryin regard
to the demonstration of Traffic Device, but were told that there
would be no demonstration made.
The Board did then adjourn.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of the said Board, Monday
January 27th. 1919 at 8 : 30 A.M. All members of the said Board
being present . Messrs Johnson, Taylor and Peltz . The following
proceedings were had totwit :
Minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
Mr. Taylor moved that the Board go on record as'b.ei_ng against
the removal of the hitching racks , and that the Clerk be in-
structed to notify Ordinance Committee. Seconded by PeltZ , so
ordered.
