Monday April 23rd, 1914*
A petition was presented signed by Sarah J. Reynolds etal
praying for water mains to be laid in Richmond Ave., from
West 5th to 7th Street, for fire protection. on motion
the Clerk was directed to notify the Richmond City water
Works to lay said mains, in accordance with resolution to
be adopted by the Board as follows, to -wit: -
Resolved. That the Richmond City Water ';lorke be and it is
hereby ordered & directed to extend its water main in Richmond
Avenue, from ',Yost 5th to 6th Street. Said main to be of such
size & dimensions as may be approved by the City Civil Engineer
of this City9 together with all proper & reasonable service
pipes for property along such lines. There shall be such number
of fire hydrants set on such extension, and such additional
fire hydrant services laid in the street as shall be deemed
necessary by the Chief of the Fire Department of this City.
The cost to the City for additional hydrants set & provided
for on such extension of main, or for additional fire services
on account of such main extension. and the cost of installing
services on such extension, and the party who shall pay
there-
for, shall all be subject to the future orders & direction of
the Public Service Commission of Indiana, or as may be provid-
ed by any valid ordinance of this City.
