At 6:32 p.m. Mayor T~atta opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.
Roll call was taken. K. Callanan, J. Dement and D. Gullicksen were absent.
Engineer John Djerf reported we received bids on September $, ].9$6 at
2:00 p.m., for the ~ttaintenance of various streets in the Village. Black
Top Paving of Joliet which was the lowest biddex' at $13,Q$2.9p; the other
bid from Crown-Trygg Corporatipn at $1b,849.04. The engineers estimate
was $x.5,310.25. We have reviewed the bids. Everything seems to be an
order. We .recommend the award of the contract to Black Top Paving of
Joliet subject to T.D.O.T. approval of the contract.
W. Sharp moved to acknowledge receipt of the two (2) bads for seal coat
and paving. Seconded by J. Bootz. Vote by roll. call. Sharp, yes; Peterson,
yes; Baotz, yes; Mayar Latta, yes. 4 yes, 0 na. 'Motion carried.
J. Djerf made a correction on the bid from Crown-Trygg on the "State of
Illinois Ta1aulation of Bids" under "Bit. Material Seal Coat" should read
$7,734.90. (copied wrong)
W. Sharp moved to award the contract to Black Top Paving of Joliet fox
the black top paving for designated streets in the"Village of Plainfield.
Seconded by J. Peterson. Vote by roll call. Sharp, yes; Peterson, yes;
Bootz, yes; Mayar Latta, yes. 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
W. Sharp moved to adjourn.
