The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular sessionat the office of the said Board, Thursday, December 19, 1918, at 9-:00 A.M. Two of the members of said Board being pre- sent, Messrs. Taylor and Peitz , absent Mr. Johnson. The following proceedings were had , to-wit :- The minutes of the previous meeting .read and were approved. Mr. Dillon, Supt. of the Light Plant asked the Board to have ap- praisers appointed to appraise a motor generator belonging to the .I/ Light Plant . Mr. Peitz moved that a resolution be prepared and presented to Council requesting that the Judge of Wayne County ap- point appraisers to appraise a motor generator belonging to the , Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana,, met in regular session at the office of the said Board, Monday, December 23, 1918 , at 9 :00 A.M. All members of said , Board being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had to-wit:- The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved. The Board granted Chas., Fish permission to garden- the lot on Newman' i Hill west of the C. & 0. R. R. for the year 1919._ The Board instructed the City Engineer to look after the sewer empty. ing into -the coal bin at the Light Plant . ' i Samuel Fred , and J. F. Hornaday appeared before the Board in regard to having the Fire Bells tolled five minutes during the funeral ser- vices of George H. Knollenberg. The Board decided that the City did not want to set a precedent , but made the suggestion to the committee that the Church Bells be tolled thinking it would be more appropriate Mayor Zimmerman informed the Board of the resignation of Dr. Davis, acting Health Officer in Dr. Hunt' s absence , and of the appointment of Dr. Kinsey to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Davis.
