Monday, November 25, 1918.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in
regular session' at the office of said Board, Monday, November 25,
1918 , at 9 :00 A.M. All members of said Board being present Messrs.
Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had, to-
wit : - -I/
The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances if any, of persons Primarily
Assessed on account of Improvement Resolution #552 - 1918 for the
improvement of South 8th St. from the North line of South H Street
to the South Corporation Limits of the City of Richmond, Indiana by
paving the roadway with concrete on such portions of said street
as is not improved by paving under provisions of the 3-Mile Road
Law which improvement was ordered by the Board of County Commissio
ers on April 1st , 1918. No one appearing and no remonstrances hav-
ing been filed the Board approved a final assessment roll confirm-
ing. in all things the original assessment roll as heretofore ap-
proved , and said assessment roll is further ordered transmitted
forthwith to the department of finance.
Mr. Louis Salzarulo appeared before the Board in regard to the al-
ley between North 13th & 14th Streets from North G to North H St.
stating that the St. Commissioner had ordered hilt to remove a pile
of ties which the commissioner claimed were in the alley but which
in reality were inside his property line. Mr. Salzarulo also stat-
ed he had a petition up before the Board two years ago for the
cementing of this alley which is in very bad condition. The School
Board would like to have this alley vacated, either vacating- or
cementing would be satisfactory to him. The Board decided to in-
vestigate this matter.
The Board did then adjourn .
