The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday, November 11, 1918. at 9 :00 A.M. Messrs. Johnson, and Peltz being present, absent • Mr. Taylor, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :- 11 I/ The- minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved. On motion of Mr. Peitz that on account of the celebration of the signing of the Armistice the Board adjourned to meet Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1918 , at 9 :00 A.M. The. Board did then adjourn. Attest: - President the Boar « c2rrAf Clerk of the Board . 000000000O000000000 Adjourned Session Office of the Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana Tuesday, November 12, 1918. - The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in adjourned session at the office of said Board Tuesday, November 12, 1918, at 9:00 A.M. All members of said Board being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, -and Peltz, the followingproceedings were had, to- wit:- The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved. The Board received bid on steam road roller for the St. Dept. as follows, to-wit:- James E. McNamara Construction Co. , Indianapolis, Indiana --- Bid One (1) Steam Road Roller not less than 10 tons with scarifier at- tached 02,000.00 No other bids being received Mr. Peltz moved that the bid of James --E. McNamara Construction Company be accepted and the contractaward. ed. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. Mr. Davis, City Engineer , brought up the matter in regard to settini of cement corner posts on the property lines of the City of Riehmonl Mr. Peltz moved that the City Engineer be instructed to carry out hl his proposed plans in regard to setting said posts. Seconded by Mr Taylor so ordered. _ Mr. Taylor informed the Board that Mr. Gist would like to have the matter in regard to the purchase of his gravel pit settled as soon as possible. The Board referred this matter to the -City Attorney t present to Coundil. 250 Tuesday, November 12, 1918. The Board instructed the Building Inspector to repair a door and roof on a house bel onging, to the City, corner South 5th and G Street . The Board did then adjourn. Pr� of t e . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday, November 14, 1918, at 9 :00 A.M. All members of said Board be- ing present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peltz , the following proceedings were had, to-wi.t :- The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved. • The Starr Piano Company petitioned the Board to order an arc light placed on South 1st street on that part of said street leading South from the main office building. The Board refered this matter to the Supertindent of the Light Plant for investi- gation and to be .refered back to the Board. George Graef, on School Street, Rural :Route A, •appeared before the Board in regard to attaching a one-horse motor on the Light Line , saying that the neighbors have complained that it cut down their current. Mr. Graef stated that he had the line tested out and the test showed 95 volts at the minimum. This matter was refered to the Superintendent of the Light Plant for in- vestigation. _ Mr. Davis , the city Engineer, presented to the Board plans for putting in a pit and switch track at the Light Plant . The Board instructed the City Engineer to see whether the tele- phone pole , between North 20th and 21st .Dtreet and North A. and B Street , stood in the alley. The Board did then adjourn.
