PLAINI'IELD VILLAGE BOARD OF' TRTISTEES
Special Meeting
DATE: November 11, 1985
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: Mayor Latta, J. Bootz, J. Dement,
K. Callanan, J. Peterson, W. Sharp,
D. Gullicksen was absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: J. West - Administrator
V. Krnac - Village'Clerk was absent
At 6:33 p.m. Mayor Latta opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.
Roll call was taken, D. Gullicksen was absent. In the absence of the
Village Clerk, J. West, Administrator/Deputy Clerk, took the minutes
of the meeting.
Mayor Latta announced the purpose of this Special Meeting is the hiring
o~ a Police Chief.
. J. Peterson moved the Village as of today, November 11, 1985, hire Donald
E. Bennett for the position. of Police Chief; at the annual salary of
$30,000.00, plus up to $2,500.00 for mov~.ng expenses; and he be
execpted from the waiting period as stated in the Village's Health and
Benefits Policy so he and his family will be covered by our Health and
Life Insurance the day he begins employment, December 1, 1985.
Seconded by J. Bootz. Vote by ro11 call. Bootz, yes; Dement, yes;
Callanan, yes; Peterson, yes; Sharp, yes. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Mayor Latta welcomed Chief Bennett to the Village of Plainfield.
J. Dement moved to adjourn. Seconded by W. Sharp. Voice vote. 5 yes,
0 no. Motion carried.
