Thursday, November 7 , 1918.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday,
November 7, 1918, at 9:00 A.M. All members of said Board be-
ing present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Pelts, the following
proceedings were had, to-wit:-
The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved.
The Clerk presented to the Board the complaints of Council of
November 4th. Referred to the Street Commissioner. I/

A Petition was presented to the Board for the graveling and
rolling of South- E Street from 16th to 23rd St. signed by
Charles Hanes and twenty-seven ( 27 ) other property holders.
Referred to the City Engineer and the St. Commissioner.
The Board instructed the City Engineer to repair North B Street
from 12th to 15th Street .
The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the matter
of the improvement of South 8th St. from the North line of-
South H Street to the South Corporation Limits by paving the
roadway with concrete on such portion ofs said street as is
not improved under the provision of the Three-Mile Road Law,
which improvement was ordered by the Board of County Commission
ers on April lst, under improvement resolution #552-1918.
Representatives of the National War Labor Board appeared before
the Board in regard to the complaint of the City Firemen asking
for an increase of salary. Mr. Castler of the Labor Board
stated that the object of appearing at this time was to see if
an agreement could be reached before the day set for the hear-
ing. After some discussion the Board decided to meet with the
Labor Board Friday, November 8th at 9 :00 A.M.
Bills to the amount of $9 ,293.39 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved the various Payrolls up to and including
November 2nd.
The Board did then adjourn.
