HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-24-1918 242 Office of the Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana Thursday, October 24, 1918 . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday, Oct. 24, 1918 , at 9:00 A.M. All members of said Board being present Messrs. Johnson, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had to-wit :- The minutes of the previous meeting re4d and were approved. The Clerk presented to the Board the complaint of G. W. Sheppard I/ in regard to a tree that stands in the first alley south of Main St. on South-west 2nd St. , and asks for its removal. The Board decided to look into this matter. The Board instructed Mr. Miller , Fire Chief, to have Mr. Frank Davis remove his car from the back room of the No. 2 Hose House. Mr. Gennett appeared before the Board in the interest of the Starr Piano Company in regard to eight lots belonging to the City of Richmond in the Hannover Addition, stating they had fill- ed in a roadway and thinks that they have trespassed on City property, and would like to know if the Board desires to have this made a public or private roadway. Mr. Peitz moved that this matter be referred to the. City Engineer to look into the location of these lots, and to get value of same , and report back to the Board. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. The Board instructed the Street Commissioner to pick and roll North G Street from 10th to 12th Street , also repair North 8th Street at the Reliance Foundry. - - The Board did then adjourn. //'�//'hf P�/r�e s�'' nt of t e Board.
