Monday, August 12, 1918 .
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana ,
met in regular session at the office of said Board , Monday,
August 12 , 1918 , at 9 :00 A. M. All of the members of said
'Board being present , Messrs. Johnson, Taylor and Peitz. The
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
II The minutes of the previous meeting read and were approved .
A petition was presented to the Board for the vacation of
North 23d Street from North. "D" Street to North "T++ ' Street ,
signed. by A. A. Mumbower, J. V . Morris , Turner W. Hadley and
. J. E. Clark. The Boarddecided to appraise the lets that
could be created by the vacation of said Street . The appraise-
ment to be referred to the retitioners before the Board would
take final action.
The Board instructed. the Building Inspector to extend the roof
over the tielet at the Market House and to -out a lock on the
door so as to close it from the general -public , and the patrons
of the Market could obtain the key from the Market Master on
the Market Days.
The Board instructed the Clerk to notify M_r. _.00bins , City At-
torney, to draw up a contract with F. E. Slick for the collect-
ing of garbage.
The Boa rd then adjourned .
