At 7:30 p.m., Mayor Latta opened the Public Hearing regarding a
Block Grant Application for various improvements to Vista Lane.
Roll call was taken, all Board members were present.
Administrator Pusinelli stated we have prepared an application
packet based on an income survey of certain residents. The Vista
Lane location was chosen because it most likely meets federal
requirements regarding low to moderate income residents. Our
application consists of resurfacing Vista Lane and installation
of storm sewers on Vista Lane. The estimated cost is $45,000.00
plus an estimated $5,000.00 in engineering services. The Village
will be asking for $45,000.00 in Federal Funds and the $5,000.00
engineering costs would be the Village's portion. The application
is due in April and if the Board approves the resolution that would
authorize the Village President and Village Clerk to execute the
various documents and submit those documents to Will County.
D. Gullicksen questioned what was the residents reaction to the
survey. Administrator Pusinelli stated the residents were very
favorable to the program.
Mayor Latta questioned if there were anyone in the audience to speak
on this project. Due to no response, the hearing was closed.
