Mr. Feltz moved that 105Y per reel be allowed as the limit to be paid for paper and that Mrs. Shinn be allowed to pick out the paper for paperin the hall and the li vi n room. Seconded by Mr . Attest : - ,.. ,r 11 Clerk of Board. 0000000000000000000 Office of the Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana Thursday, June 6, 1918 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana • met in regular session at the office of said Board , Thursday, June, 6, 1918 at 9 :00 A. M. All members of the said Board being present, Messrs. Johnson, Taylor and Peitz. The fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit: The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Johnson brought up the matter in regard to renting boats in the Glen Miller Park. Mr. Peitz moved to rescind previous action on this matter and that it be referred to the Sup' t of the Parks to look after it. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so or- dered. The Clerk read a letter from H. J. Gebhardt Co. On motion this letter was placed on file . The Clerk read a letter from the Barret Co. of Cincinnati , O. in regard to Tarvia. On motion it was referred to The City I/ Engineer. The Clerk read a communication from"The American City." On motion this was placed on file . The Clerk called the Boards' attention to the specifications for bids for city advertising of the year 1914. Mr. Taylor moved that the Clerk advertise for City advertising according to these specifications. Seconded by Mr. Peltz , so ordered . 4 r 78 Office of the Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana Thursday, June 6, 1918. (Cont' d) Mr. Hollarn appeared before the Board in regard to putting screens on the Ladiet' Toilet. Mr. Peitz moved that the Park Superintendent put new screens on the ladies' toilet and place them in good sanitary condition. Seconded by Mr. Taylor . The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of the contract under Improvement Resolution No. 550-1918. Mr. Johnson moved that it be accepted and the Clerk ordered to prepare the assess- ment roll. - Mr. Johnson of the Light Heat & Power Plant Co. appeared before - the Board in regard to getting their service pipes under the storm sewer on North 7th. St. Mr. Johnson stated that as the sewer was right under the brick paving and that they would have to go under the sewer with the pipeSand this would bring about a condition that they wazld freeze up. The Board referred this to the City Civil Engineer. Mr. Peitz moved that North 3d. Street be picked and re-rolled. Seconded by Mr. Taylor, so ordered. The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 554-1918 providing for the Improvement on both sides of South 3d. Street from Main Street to Sodth "A"`Street , by constructing a cement curb, gutter and sidewalk, six (6) foot wide on both sides of said Street between points named. After hearing all persons appearing and no remonstrances having been filed the Board decided that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said Improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes-final action on. said Resolution, same being confirmed without modification. Bills for the amount of 04,872.93 were allowed and ordered paid. The Board approved various pay rolls up to and including May 31, 1918. The Board then adjourned.
