HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-09-1918 • Office of the Board- of Public Works , 63 City of Richmond , Indiana Thursday, May 9th , 1918 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , l ldi arl a., met in regular session at the office of the said Board, Thursday , May 9th , 1918 , at 9 :00 o clock A.M. Two of the ° mem- bers of said Board being present , Messrs . Taylor & Peitz ; absent , Mr. Johnson. The following proceedings were had to-Wit : - The minutes of previous meeting read and were approved. The Clerk read a letter from the Teetor Hartley Motor Company stating they could not furnish any more Cannon Stoves. This letter was ordered placed on file . The Board instructed the City Controller to ask Council for • an appropriation of $700.00 for. Miscellaneous Fund of Fire Depart- ment . TheClerk read the complaints of Council of Monday , May 6th, 1918 The Board referred these complaints to the City Engineer and Street Commissioner. The Board meets to hear all persons int erested in or whose crop- erty is affected by the improvemelit of North A street from North 18th to 19th street under improvement Resolution 550-1918. After hearing all remoras Craters (No one appearing and. no remon- strance having been. :filed) against said proposed improvement ,• Mr. Peitz moved that this resolution be confirmed, and the Clerk advertise for bids , seconded by :.ir. Taylor, so ordered. . Mr. Sittloh brought up the matter of difficulty to get up steam for road roller, on account of the coal , and advised the Board to have this roller equipped with Oil Burner. The Board ordered the Clerk to write the Port Huron Encrine & Thresher Company in • regard to Oil burner for this Roller . The Board accepted the resignation of Claude Carter of the Fire Department and appointed Mr. Walter Muey to succeed Mr. Carter. • The Board then adjourned. • President i Board, prc-tem.
