Mr . 'Feltz moved that the city engineer have the street .commissioner to put in these manholes , seconded by Mr. Taylor, so ordered . The Clerk read a letter from the Cartinhour Bowman Co. in • regard to automobile equipment for the Street Department. Mr. Peitz moved that this be referred to the Clerk to answer this letter, seconded by Mr. Taylor , so ordered. Mrs. . The Clerk was ordered to notify/Lew Minck to remove tree in front of property on West Side of South 4th Street. • Mr. Peitz moved that s,e.veral::•b.f:_i e .:street menbe raised 25 on the day, seconded by Mr. Taylcr , so ordered. • Mr. Peitz moved that the Supt . of Light Plant arid Supt. of Parks take up the matter of , turning lights on at Glen Park. • TheBoard ordered the Street Commission r to repair Ft. Wayne . • Avenue between C. & D. street and North 12th from Main to A -etreet. • The Board instructed Mr. Dillon to get data on necessary equip- ment at Litiht plant and refer to the Board. TheBoard unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution 553-1918. providing for a -k sanitary Sewer in the alley- between N. Monday , April 29th ,1918 15 - Mr. Zimmerman neti fled. the Board that he had received a letter from the Government instruc-i ing him to discontinue all improvements , except all that have been started. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session at the office of said Board , Thursday, May 2d,1918 , at 9 :00 o' clock, A.M. Pursuant to continuance the Board takes up Declaratory Resoluti on 118-1918 for the vacation of. the 2d alley west of Sheridan Street running from Laurel street north to the first alley running east and west between Laurel & Railroad streets. The Board after hav - ing gone over and investigated said alley proposed to be vacated and a remonstrance having been filed against said proposed vaca- tion, thereupon the Board after hearing all parties interested, Mr. Feltz moved that the Board take this under advisement in or- der to consult with City Attorney, seconded by Mr. Taylor , so or- dered. The Board approved and signed bond of Central Auto Station to construct a gasoline pump in front cf Garage at1115 Main Street , and gave this concern permission to proceed with the work and instructed them to draw up contract and present to the Board . The Board approved and signed bond and contract of Webb-Coleman Company to place a Gasoline , Oil and Air Dispenser in front of their place of business at 19-21 South 7th Street. The Clerk read a letter from C . D.Slifer in regard to filling a hole ' in front of his property. Mr. Feltz moved that this be referred to 'the City Lngine er, seconded by Mr. Taylor, so ordered.
