The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond& Indiana, met • in. regular ' session at the office of said Board Thursday • December -27th, 1917, at 9 (O'clock A. M. All the ‘embers of said Board being present& Messrs, Bavis© Marlatt: and McMinn The following_proceedings were had --twit ' The Board approved the contract & bond of Charles M. Matto for the _ installation of"Gasolino and Oil Dispenser"' on Main Street in front of No: 308o ' (See contract & bond) The Board -on motioxa accepted Warranty Deeds 'signed by Lydi a M. Bello E.Annie Wilson Elizabeth Barnes Charles H. Moore and George Parry, Trsutee:s of Rhitewater Monthly Meeting of friends, of the City of Richmond, conveying to City of Rini- mond 10 feet in width off of the entire rear and east end of Lots numbered 24 245-2'46, also 10 feet in width off of entire rear and west end of. Lots numbered ,265-264 & 263 in Elizabeth Starr's Additiin to said City. for the purpose o of a. public alley 20 feet wide between North llth & 12th Stree:to running south from North W'B" Stree.t to lots No. 247 & 262e same addition. and the Clerk was directed to have said 6-e'' . recorded.The Clerk presented to the Board a request fro- the council asking them to investigate as to -bills of city physicians also groceries furnished to• persons qarenteened for saran pox and other *contagious diseases, as to whether these per- sons were not able\to pay thus own bills, and as to whether said bills were reasonable or not. City Atty. Bonds brought up the matter as to poles of city encroaching on the land of A. L. Wolfe, along the peacock Road , requested that the County Surveyor be directed to sur- vey the road snd ascertain as to whether these poles did en &roach on said property. Upon recommendation Fire Chief Miller, Nerbert Ray, was ap- pointed Captain of No. 2 Nose Co, account of Captain C. Lane resigned to. join U.S.Arasy. Messrs, Hiatt& Reddish appeared before the Board, stating the wells on property on North 12th St. north of bridge had been eonde dned by -Health Depar.traent, and requested the city assist them in getting city water, for domestic use and fire protections the Board recommended they get the property owne ers together in agreement, and present the proposition to the incoming administration.
