Thursday November 22nd ,1917.
• The Board of 1'ubl is Works of the City of adichmond , indi ana
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
November 22nd , 1917 , at 9 o' clock A. •M. All the members of
said Board being .pre sent,, Messrs , Bavis , Marlatt and MCMinn.
The following proceedings were had , to-wit : -
The Clerk read Noti ce served on His Honor Wm. J. Robbins , Mayor
Notifying the City of injuries received by Mary H. Wisler , on
the evening of September 23rd , 1917 , on Northwest 2nd Street ,
between Center Street and the viaduct of the Chicago Division
of the Pennsylvania i ai lroad , by reason of a fall on sidewalk
caused by weeds etc . , and inadequate light , the same was on
motion referred to the City Attorney .
The Board 'signed contract , granting the McConaha Company per-
mission to construct underground passageway also an over-head
passage-way across the first alley south of Main Street running
east & west from South 4th to 5th Street.
A petition signed by R. E. Asbury & 10 others , was received
requesting an arc light at corner of South 10th & "J" Streets
on mot ion the petition was referred to Sup't . , of Light Plant
for investigation and if possible to place light as petitioned
for . -
A petition was presented signed by 0. G. Ivh.elan, as chai rman
requesting permission to install light in alley running north
and south between South 6th & 7th Street from "A" to "B" Street
City to furnish the current gratis . on motion the request was
granted , provided the property owners install the light and
maintain the same , the city will furnish current per gratis .
The matter of property owners extending the sewer from the
property on west side of North 2nd Street immediately above
light plant , was referred to City Engineer .
The various pay-rolls up to November 17th , 1917 , were app roved..
Claims to the amount of $8988 .89 were allowed and ordered paid .
