Monday September 17th, 1917 .
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of' said Board Monday
September 17th, 1917 , at 9 'o'clock A. M. All the members of
said Board being present , Messrs , Bavis , Marlatt and McMinn.
The following, proceedings were had , to-wit : -
A petition was presented , praying for incandescent light in
the alley between North 6th & 7th Street running north from
North "A" Street , the property owners to install light and
maintain the same and city to furnish current without expense
to property owners , petition granted.
The Clerk was directed to notify C . & 0. Ry. .Co. , to remove
cinders, etc . , from alley between North 2nd &0 3rd street run •

fling south from North -"C" Street , and to discontinue the prac-
tice of dumping. same- in alley.
Dr. S . G. Smelse-r , presented a bill to the amount of' $30.00
• for:mp-rofessional services in- broken arm of R. Manning, former
City fireman, referred -to City Attorney Wm. ' A. Bond .
In matter of arc light. at National Road & West 8th Street ,
upon advice of Sup 't . , of Light Plant , the Board takes same
under advisement until investigation.
Upon recommendation. of the ? eyor, the Board on motion prepared
voucher to be charged to misc . , account law, payable to the
Consutiers Defense Assn. , of Indiana, in the amount of $100.00.
The Board then adjourned,
