Thursday September 6th ,1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City. of Richmond , Indiana ,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thurs-
day September 6th , 1917 , at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members
of said Board being pre sent , Messrs , Bay.i s, Marla t t and
McMinn. The following pro ceedings were had , to -wit : -
The City .Civil• Engineer, reported the completion of con-
tract under Improvement Resolution No . 54.3-1917 , for the
construction of sewer in place of open `drain_ leading from
near the east end of Main Street Bridge to the river. The
Board accept the same and order till in the amount of $983.
40 , less 5%, reserve paid to I. E. Smith . contractor .for
said work .
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons
primarily assessed on account of the construction of sewer
in the' alley- between Ross & Boyer Street from Vine to John
Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 535-1917 . No one
appearing or remonstrating , the Board approved a final
assessment roll confirming in all things the original 'assess-
ment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be
transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance .
The Board approved & signed lease to front room upstairs
over Light Plant office , made and entered into by Dr. E. B.
Grosvenor for his office , consideration 012.50 p.er month .
Sup`t . , of Light Plant was directed to write Carl Fisher,
for specifications etc . , for search lights , and to install
the said lights on top of city building, as guides to avi-
ators making night flights over this city.
The Board directed B. Wicket , to furnish & haul gravel on
Linden Ave , Hunt Street & Ridge Street , at the price of 75
per load. of 1 4 yards to load .
The Board approved the various payrolls to Sep. 1st , 1917 .
Claims to the amount of 4 4079 .05 were allowed & ordered.
