As there rs no quorum meeting was not held.
Town of Tybee,Ga.September 3rd 1926.
The regular monthly zieeting of Towr Council was held today and vas
attended by Mayor damble,and Councilmen Cann,Espy,Horovitz,and Town
Attorney ivicIntyre also Me,osrs George D.Coiir,A.P Solomon,jr and W.C.
Goodman.
Mr Cohn petitioned Council for the privilege of operateing a game
on Tybee known as "The Blueslexolusive to him onlyoext season,he con-
tending that with the competition exixting now it is impossible for
him a lake a reasonable profit out of his business -- the matter was
referred to the Town Atterney for an opinion,Mx Horovitz suggested
that the Police committee handle this so it was turned over to uhe
folic' Committee for handling.
Mr A.P.Solomon,jr appeared to ,)-sk that invoices of his company rendered
against the Town for various work be aaid and Mr Cann made a motion
seconded by Mr Espy that the bills owed by the Town be passed for
payment -- the motion passed.
1,ayor Gamble cal1d to the attention of Council that tn some places
the asphalt paving was in a had condition,he informed Council that
just as soon as work vs finished on the drainage programe,the county
forces would be put on the paving work.
The programme as mapped out on the system of drainage on the South end
of the island will probably continue into Novetber,the Mayor informed
Council.
On the qaestion of the opening of new streets,it is the opinion of
Oduncil that the following strr'ets should be opened as early as possible;
LcKenzie street from Auto road to 13ay street;Ninth street frool Butler
avenue to Third avenue;Fifteenth street from Butler avenue to Third
avenue.
The Mayor called Councilstattention the finances of the Town and partic-
ularly so to the loss that is entailed on the Power Plant.
The Mayor informed Council that he had been talking with Mr H.C.Foss
of The Savannah 1,1ectric & Dower Co relative to having the Electric
Co extend its service to Tybee,and that lor Foss promised td) let him
have an answer about this matter in October.
The Mayor also mentioned that the operators ,fTybrisa Pavilion are
very much interested in making a white -v,ay of 16th street from Butler
avenue to the boach.
There being no further business Council adj rned fject,,c the call

The regular meetirg of Town Council was held to-day attended by the MAYar
and Counoilmen Cann,Walthour,Espy. Attorney F.R.Nd/ptyre.
There was no regular business conducted only discussions relative to
the power plant,drainage ect.
