The Board pf Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday August End, 19150 at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members of Bald Board being present, Messrs. Bavis, Marlatt and McLtinn, The following proceedings were had, to -wit: - A petition was presented for the construction of cement aide- walks on both aides of West 7th St, from Pearl St, to Peacock Road, on motion same was taken under advisement, permission was granted E. H. Hawekotte, to construct Under pri• vote contract a cement driveway In rear of property 326 5.15th Street. The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons pri• marily assessed on accouht of the improvement of North 15th St, from North "E" to "F" St; Also North "F" Street, from 15thto 16th Street, by constructing cement curb with 12" gutter & par• ing the roadway with brick between the points named as provided by Improvement Resolution No. 434-1914. No one appearing or re- monstrating the Board approved a final assessment roll confin- ing the original assessment roll heretofore approved, andnoa direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance. The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contracts under the following resolutions as follows to -wit: - Improvement Resolution No. 437-1915 for cement sidewalks an north side of North "J" St.from 12th to 17th Street; Improvement Resolution No. 454-1915 for paving South "A" 9t, with brick from South 5th to 16th Street; Improvement Resolution No. 459-1915, for constructing a cooed roadway in the alley between South 6th & 7th Street, from Sr" "A" St, to let alley south of Main Street. Improvement Resolution No. 467-1915, for paving the inter6ect ck. on North 8th St north of P.C.C.& St,io hy, tracks with Improvement Resolution No. 474-1915, Yor constructing cement sidewalks 6' wide curb & gutters on both sides of South "fl" Street from Southo8th to 9th Street. on motion of Lir. McMinn the Board accepted the same and ordered as essment rolls Pre. pared. The following proceedings were had to -wit:- The Clerk was directed to advertise for bide for carrying the insurance for the Officers & employees of the City including the City Light Plant employee as contemplated under the "Work - mans Compensation Act" for the period of one year from Septem- ber lot, 1015, each bid to state specifically and definitely the cost of said insurance for each separate department of said city, certified check In the sum of 4100.00 to accompany each bid as an evidence of good faith etc., The Board received communication from the Starr Piano Co., in regard to Richmond Light, Heat & Power Company, placing high tenei on line on South let Street and C. & O. Ry, right of way, which was referred to City Attorney, The Clerk was directed to notify the American Seeding Machine Co, to raise their switch track across North "F" Street east of 16th Street to conform to the grade of the Street. The City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of contract under Improvement Resolution 110, 479.1915. for the grading of Center Street, from Northwest End to 5th Street, the same was accepted and assessment roll ordered, the total cost a:=sessed against the City of Richmond.
