The Board of Public 'Rorke of the City of hichmond, Indiana, met in special session at the offs P of said Board Wedrmsday
August llth, 1915, at 1 0 O'clock K. All the members of
said Board being present, Messrs, Bavie, Marlatt and McMinn,
The following proceedings were had, to -wit; -
Whereas, IJuin Street Bridge across White Water River in the
City of Richmond, Indiana, has been carefully examined by the
City Civil Engineer of this City and others, and by them declared
to be unsafe for use.
IT IS THEziLFORE
Ordered by the Board of Public Works of
this City that all travel upon and over Such bridge and the use
of the same by the Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eattern Traction
Company and by all other persons for any purpose whatsoever is
hereby forbidden.
It is further ordered by said Board that suit-
able, proper, sufficient and permanent barric:adeu be erected,
placed and maintained at each end of such Bridge by the Street
Commissioner of this City so as to effectually prevent the use
of said Bridge for any and all purposes whatsoever, and that
said Street Commissioner shall procure, place and continuously
maintain warning signs and warning lights at each end of such
Bridge.
It is fu rth er ordered that a duly certified copy of
this order be served upon the Terre Haute, Indianapolis & East-
ern Traction Company.
