The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursd.
September 2ad, 19159 at 9 o'clock A. Me All the members
Board being present, Messrs, Bavis, Marlvtt and McMinr.
The following proceeding's were had to -wit: -
Pursuant to postponement to this date; the Board meets to'.ev
remonstrances, if arny,of persons primarily assessed on accoud
of the const ructi on of cement sidewalks 6' wide on North side
of North "J" Street, from., north 12th to 17th Street, under)}
provement iesclutior. No. 437-1`_�15. After hearing all rereomi:.
terested who appeared, the Board approved a final assessment
roll confiring in all things the original assessment roll
heretofore approved, and now directed the same be transmitted
f`crthv.itjr to the Department of Finance.
The Board received communication from W. R. Payne, contmctc
for the construction of cement sidewalks on loth sides ofCen
ter Street from Northwest rrid to 5th Street, complainir.�
Board of persons driving on the sidewalks, and as 5p of
tract price was retained by the City for any defects in
construction, he deemed it unfair to him to allow such
of driving on said walks, the same was referred to Police
partment to investigate & enforce the ordinance against dri%%
on or across sidewalks.
The Board grant, -The hichmcnd Poultry C%. permission to tal',
sewer west of North" Street between North "C" & "DWI gireat
upon the payment of 9'5.00 to the City.
The City Civil nneineer re orted the com leti on of contractfi'
the constructs on of a cemont roadw in the alley between sa"
6th & 7th Street from South "A" toa'B" Street, under lllrove
Resolution No. 175-1715.

The Board approved primary assessment rolls on the fallorire

"A" to "B" Street.

The City Civil engineer, relorted the completion of contract
under 447-1915, for constructing a sanitary serer in alley be-
tween South 7th & 8th Street, from South "C" Street ruaang
south 330 fee` , and c ement roadway in said alley, from South
"C" Street to a point 570 feet south of said "C" Street, the
Board accepted the same and ordered an assessment roll prepared.
The City Civil rn�ineer, reported the completion of contract
under Improveneiit Re Solution Iio. 480-1915, for the construction
Of a sanitary sewer in the alley 1st north of South "A" Street
from South 5th to Gth. Street, the Board accepted the same sad
ordered an as;:e:.sment roll prepared.
The Board extended the time to Harding, Slattery & Buchanan to
complete contracts as follows:- Improvement Resolution N1915.4
1915, North & South 6th Street, paving to October 15th,
To F, e, Slick, under Improvement Resolution No. 471-1915,Best
7th Street sidewalks, extended to October let, 1915.
The Sup't•, of Light Plant was directed to place necessary lights
Or' temporary bridge being constructed at North 1<"th Street.
Bids for certain plumbing to be done in the City tionl&was received
and referred to Building Inspector for investig
Claims to the arnount of J13,213.39 were allowed & ordered paid.
The Clerk was directed to order a small tank of road oil$ not o
6000 gallons.
