Monday July 16th ,1917.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday
July 16 th , 1917 , at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Bevis , Marlatt and McMinn.
The following _proproceedings were- had , to -wit :- • -
The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose property
is affected by the Vacation -of the 1st alley south of •South "A"
Street from South 4th to 5th Street, as provided for under De-
claratory Resolution No. 117-1917 . After ke-aring all persons in-
terested who appeared, the Board on motion of Mr. Marlatt, modi-
• fy said resolution to read from South 4th Street east to the al-
ley running north & south between South 4th & 5th Street , the
• Board now takes final action on said resolution, the same being
confirmed as modified, And the Board now orders that a list or
roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property, and of
valuable interests therein,sought to be taken or to be injurious-
ly affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected, The Board fix the price to be assessed as
benefits to be be $3.00 per front foot on South 4th Street .
• The Board direct the Finance Department, to pay to Schneider Bros ,
contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 483-1916, the sum
of 473 .34. , the •sable: being; 5% reserve retained. on said contract .
The Board granted Reynolds Greulich , permission to construct
under private contract a cement sidewalk at 121 North "F" St.
The Board.- approved the contract & bond. of Hans H. Wagner, con-
tractor under Improvement Resolution No. 542-1917.
The Board directed the Sup' t., of M. E. L. & P. P. to install
an. Arc lamp at Northwest 8th Street and the Peacock Road .
A bill in the sum of 311.62 in favor of J.- H. Luken, for water
used by W. R. Payne in the improvement -of alley between South
-'7th & 8th Street from "B" to "C" Street, was received and order-
ed filed with the City Controller, with instructions to pay out
of reserve held on said contract , if available .
The Board then adjourned.,
