HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-09-1917 Office of Board of- Public- Works , City. of Richmond, Indiana, Monday July 9th , 1917 . • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 9th , 1917 ,. at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board being present , Messrs, Bavis , Marlatt and McMinn. The following -proceedings were had , to -wit :-. I/ _The Board granted Adolph Blickwedel , permission to construct cement roadway in the alley in rear of 601 & 603 South . 7th Street , under private contract , the full width of the alley. The Street Commissioner was instructed to purchase crushed stone of the Reinheimer Quarries Co. , under present contract, as long as they secure proper cars & shipments. : The matter of Arc light at Peacock Road & Northwest 8th St, was deferred for further investigation. The Health Department was directed to notify J. H. Schell , to tap sewers at his properties between North 12th & 13th Street and between North "J" & Railroad . The Board received bids for the construction of Sewage Dis- posal Plant for Glen View Addttion, 23rd & Main Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 542-1917 , as follows, to- wit:-" H. H. Wagner, bid ; Disposal Plant complete 0390.00 " E. A. Mariani, bid; Disposal Plant , complete $455.78 " Jon H. Niewo.ehner, bid ; Disposal Plant complete , $461 .67 " L. P. Meredith , bid ; Disposal Plant , complete $500.00 " Schneider Bros . , bid ; Disposal Plant , complete 0533.95 The bid of H. H. Wagner, being the lowest and within the . estimate of the City Civil Engineer,, the contract was award- ed to the said H. H. Wagner. On account of meeting of Municipal League of Indiana , 10-11 & 12 July, 1917 , the Board on motion adjourn to Monday July 16th, 1917 . The Board then adjourned, Q (I0Akkr. 1/; ,. Presid en o para.
