AWARDING BID FOR
CARTERET PARK TENNIS COURT & BASKETBALL COURT PAVEMENT
CRACK REPAIR & COLOR COATING IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Carteret
Park Tennis Court & Basketball Court Pavement Crack Repair & Color Coating
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received five (5) bid proposals for the
Carteret Park Tennis Court & Basketball Court Pavement Crack Repair & Color Coating
Improvements Project as follows:
Total
1. Picerno Giordano Construction $ 114,600.00
2. American Tennis Courts, Inc. $ 89,290.00
3. Sport Tech Construction $ 104,910.00
4. Nickolaus Construction Co., Inc. $ 65,100.00
5. S. Brothers, Inc. $ 55,230.00
WHEREAS, S. Brothers, Inc., P.O. Box 317, South River, NJ 07052 has submitted the
lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's
Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract to S. Brothers, Inc., in a total amount not to exceed
$55,230.00, per attached award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct.# C 0!E - 18 - 101 - 202
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with S. Brothers, Inc. of South River, N.J. for
the Carteret Park Tennis Court & Basketball Court Pavement
Crack Repair & Color Coating Project Contract as described above
for the sum of $55,230.00 in accordance in all respects with the
request for proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, CME Associates and Borough Director of
Engineering.
