Thursday June 21st ,1917.
'The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
June 21st , 1917 , at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members of 'said
Board being present, Messrs, Bavis, Marlatt and McMinn.
The fallowing proceedings were had, to-wit : -
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 117-
1917 , for the vacation of the 1st alley south of South "A"
Street. , from South 4th to 5th Street , except that portion of
said alley within the alley running north & south between
said South 4th & 5th Street.
The City Civil Engineer, }reported the completion of contract
under Improvement Resolution No. 541-1917 , for ,the construct-
ion of sewer in Northwest 2nd Street , from Chestnut Street
to the alley north of Chestnut Street , the Board accepted the
same and ordered bill sent to The Miller-Kemper Company and
the Richmond Lumber Company for payment of $100.00 each as
agreed by said companies.
J. F. Mustard, was granted permission to construct driveway
across walk on North 11th Street , at Lots 310-311-312 Eliza-
beth Starr's , addition. , under the direction & supervision
of City Civil Engineer.
The Board received bids for city printing for the year ending
June 30th, 1918 as follows, to-wit : -
"Palladium Printing Co. , bid :
First insertion .30¢ per inch
Second insertion .28
• Third insertion .
" The Item Newspaper Co. , bid ; - -
First insertion .20V per inch
Second insertio4 .19V " "
- The Board takes said bids under advisement until Monday
June 25th, 1917. -
Bills to the amount of $9367.65 were allowed & prdered paid.
The Board then adjourned,
