The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
• met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
June 7th , 1917 , at 9 o' cl ock A. M. All the members of said
Board being present , Messrs , Bevis , Mar la t t and McMinn.
The following proceed ings were• had , to®wit
The Board receive d copy of le tt er sent to Richmond City Water
May 24th , 1917 , by the Public Service Commission of Indiana ,
fixing the amount which the said water works company shall pay
to the City for the 29 intermidiate hydrants belonging to the
City , at co st Of reproduction $1668 .00 pre sent value '4;1370 .00.
In matter of no ti ce served the City by Alfred Underhill, the
City Attorney filed the- following copy to answer to. same to-wit :

My Dear Sir :

The no tice under date of May 29th , 1917 , to the
City of Richmond signed by you, in re lati on to the building of a
fence has been referred to me , and in re sp once will say that the
property of the City is open to the public and does hot require
any fencing, and it will be` the duty of the adjacent land owner
to nhave such fence as he desires.

The. City Civil Engineer, was directed to prepare plans etc . , for
such necessary relief sewers and estimated cost of same as may
be needed in the City, and report to Board .
The Board directed the Clerk to re-advertise for bids for con-
structi on of sanitary sewer in alley between Ross & Boyer Street
from Vine to John Street, under Improvement Resoluti on No. 535-1

• The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
• . Improvement Resolution No. 532--1917 , for construction o f cement
curb & gutter on both sides of South 2,0th Street, from Main to
South "A" Street , the Board on motion accepted the same and order-
ed and assessment roll prepared.
The Board notify the Industri al Board of Indi ana , as to injuries
received by Chas. Sinex, Captain of No. 1 Rose Co , March 17 ,1917 .
Claims to the amount of '7456 .36 were allowed & ordered paid .
The Board then adjourned
