M. All the members of said Board being present , Messrs , Bavis , Maria t t and McMinn. The foIlowring pro ceedings• were had , to-wit The Board employed. W. S. Miller, to construct steps leading to top of hill- at temporary bridge from west side of National Road , City t© furnish all ma teri al , he to do the work for the sum of w40.00 complete. The fo llovri ng notice was re ce ived City of Richmond ; Youbare hereby notified to build your proportion of the fence between our two farms -both lying in the Part of N.W. Quarter Sec. 34 , Township 14, Range One in Wayne Township; Wayne County , Indi- ana. Dated May 29th , 1917 . Alfred C. LTnderhi 11. The ab ove was referred to the City Attorney . A petition signed by between 600 E: 1,000 persons , was received asking the Mayor , Board of Publi.c Works and Common Council, to use every legitimate of Fort and influence as City Officials of Richmond ; to assist in reducing the high cost of living , which was ordered presented to the Common Council. The Board received bids for the construe ti on of a sewer in North- west 2nd Street , from. Oh estnut Street t o the alley no rth under Improvement Resoluti on No. 541-1917 , as follows to-wit : " John F. Hipskind , bid ; Sewer Complete 02.30 per linear foot . The bid of John F. Hipskind , being the only one r ec dived and being below the estimate of the City Civi 1 Engineer, the contract was so awarded . This being the day set for receiving bids for the construction of Disposal Plant in Glen View Additi on south of 14aun Street & east of South 23rd Stre et , under Improvement Resolution No. 542-1917 , and no bids having been presented , the Clerk was directed to re- • adve rti se for bids for said plant . B. C, Harrison, appeared before the Board and requested that re- pai rs be made to South 10th Street around the Park. The Board then adjourned, 4. , P re si d ent Hof Board .
