The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
May 24th, 1917 , at 9 o' clock A. M. The following members of
said Board being present , Messrs , Bavis, and / riatt. Absent
Mr. McMinn. Two membe rs being pre sent , the following pro ce ed-
ings were had , to-wit : -
The Board dir ected Sup' t. , of- Light Plant , to place Arcs at
Ridge- Street & Linden Avenue and Hunt & School Street.
The Board directed the City Civil Engineer, to proceed with
plans, and secure necessary lumber & labor and construct
steps leading from National Road to top of hill at West Main
Stre et.
The Board grant the Richmond Exihibi ti on Company, permission
to_ string wire across Main Street near 9th Street, for the
purpose of placing Ball to notify citi zens of baseball games R
said ball to be placed in morning of day games to be played
and taken down after beginning of game.
The Board received bids for Road oil for City for 1917 as
follows, to-wit : -
"lndi an Refining Company, bid:
40% to 50% Road Oil -$0.0621 gal , f.o .b . •
Lawrenceville , Illinois .
The Board takes bid under advisement.
